What’s in a name?

The top of this story speaks for itself:

In the early years of his political career, Rick Perry began hosting fellow lawmakers, friends and supporters at his family’s secluded West Texas hunting camp, a place known by the name painted in block letters across a large, flat rock standing upright at its gated entrance.

“Niggerhead,” it read.

There is a long story behind this. Here’s the link. But given that people don’t want to read long stories, and television only deals in sound bites, those first two paragraphs are the only things most people are going to read.
