Democrats need leaders who are willing to fight for what’s right.
Nancy Pelosi did this last year:
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that even if Democrats were to retake control of the House in the 2018 elections, pushing for impeachment proceedings of President Donald Trump would not be one of their legislative priorities.
“It’s not someplace that I think we should go,” Pelosi, appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” said of whether Democrats would seek to oust the president if they regained the majority.
And in 2006, during the administration of George W. Bush (the Dumber), she said this:
House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi promised Wednesday that when her party takes over, the new majority will not attempt to remove President Bush from office, despite earlier pledges to the contrary from others in the caucus.
“I have said it before and I will say it again: Impeachment is off the table,” Pelosi, D-Calif., said during a news conference.
Pelosi’s “threat” to the country isn’t that she wants to impose “San Francisco values” on the rest of America (whatever the hell that means in the warped minds of the right). Her threat is that she isn’t willing to take down war criminals and human rights abusers when they’re staring her in the face and say she’s the threat.
